Paribesh Chattopadhyay, a 28-year-old resident of Mukundapur, was found dead after allegedly falling from the 16th floor of a commercial building in Salt Lake Sector 5, Kolkata. The incident occurred in a bustling corporate area, shocking coworkers and locals. Bidhannagar Electronics Complex Police Station has registered a case of unnatural death, and investigations are underway.
Police sources revealed that Paribesh had a loan of ₹5 lakh that he was struggling to repay. On Friday, he had a phone conversation with his girlfriend, during which he reportedly shared concerns about his financial difficulties. This information has been noted as part of the ongoing investigation into the circumstances of his death.
The body was recovered and sent to RG Kar Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The report will provide clarity on the exact cause and nature of death.
